Author's Note

  Occasionally, I've even been tempted to write outside of my normal genres, those being scifi and fantasy. Here are a couple of my attempts. I'll leave it to you to decide how successful they were. Some of these were pretty long, halfway to being a novel really.

It Started with a Letter (2003)

  A lonely woman finds a letter mistakenly dropped on the street near her home. When she reads it, she's moved by the emotions expressed by the man who wrote it, and she begins to fixate on the sender. When she sends him a letter of her own after sending the letter on its way to its intended recipient, he's less than pleased about his letter being read by other than its intended, which is a woman who he intends to marry. Things get more complicated when the writer apologizes, and they begin a correspondence, which her best friend, and the writer's intended wife learn of and don't agree with.

The Keys to Soul  (2002)

This story is about a down on his luck piano player and a high school girl who falls in love with him. She's initially draw to his talent, which evolves into a very strong devotion. As they grow closer to one another, age comes into play, since he's nearly old enough to be her father, and she's under age.
